Japan has been hit with another strong earthquake that shook buildings in the capital, Tokyo, and caused a tsunami advisory for the country’s northeast coast.
The U.S. Geological Survey put the strength at magnitude 7.0. saying the quake was centered 6.7 miles east of Ishinomaki at a depth of 33.5 miles.
That is off the coast of Miyagi prefecture, in the country’s rugged northeast, which was heavily damaged during the huge earthquake and tsunami of 2011.
When the earthquake first occurred, the initial USGS report had placed the magnitude of the quake at a 7.2, but that magnitude was adjusted to 7.0.
A tsunami advisory was put in effect for portions of coastal Japan according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). The entire coastline of the Miyagi Prefecture, the area closest to the epicenter of the quake, was alerted to the possibility of a tsunami wave.
Later these tsunami advisories were cancelled. And evacuation orders that were in place for the Miyagi Prefecture were also lifted with the cancellation of the tsunami advisory.
Operations at the Onagawa nuclear power plant were also suspended for a time while Tohoku Electric checked the plant for any irregularities following the major quake.
This earthquake comes just days after the 10-year anniversary of the infamous March 11, 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami disaster.
That 2011 quake, also known as the Great Sendai Earthquake or Great Tōhoku Earthquake, caused widespread damage to Japan and initiated a series of devastating tsunami waves. That quake also led to the nuclear disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi Power Plant.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that there will be earthquakes in the Last Days signaling the world is nearing the end of this age.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
