A series of earthquakes rattled the Los Angeles area today. The largest, a magnitude 4.2 quake, was reported at 4:29 a.m. and centered near San Fernando, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was felt across the L.A. Basin with shaking felt as far away as Lake Forest in Orange County. Residents in Venice, Rancho Cucamonga and Santa Clarita also reported feeling the earthquake.
A number of quakes also followed including a magnitude 3.3 earthquake at 4:38 a.m. and a magnitude 3.8 temblor at 6:48 a.m., both in San Fernando, according to the USGS.
One resident in the south end of Simi Valley said the earthquake was strong enough to cause him to fall out of bed.
And with the quake’s epicenter near San Fernando Valley, many residents who were rocked out of bed took directly to social media.
One resident said their entire house was shaking and their dogs were howling before and while it was happening. While others complained it woke them and their children up from sleep.
Ground and air surveys from the Los Angeles Fire Department found no major infrastructure damage, and there was no loss of life or serious injury reported.
In the past 10 days, there have been other earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
The Biblical Prophecies of Jesus (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that earthquakes will be a sign indicating the nearing of the end of this age.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
