Vatican News reports that Pope Francis and France’s President Emmanuel Macron recently spoke by phone according to a press release from the French President’s Office at Élysée Palace.

And in the conversation the two spoke at length about Pope Francis’ recent historic trip to Iraq. Where the Roman Pope of the Vatican for the first time in history went to Iraq which is ancient Babylon.

Meeting with officials of Iraq and also  Muslim leaders, while also praying an ecumenical prayer at the location of the great Ziggurat or Tower of Ur in Iraq, for all the faiths of the world to unite as one in solidarity.

And the French President Macron, said the Pontiff’s visit to Iraq marked “a true turning point” for the Middle Eastern region.

Their conversation reportedly lasted around 40 minutes, and came after President Macron sent the Pope a message on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of his election to the Roman Papacy.

But the phone call, which was requested by the Pope, marks the fifth time the two world leaders have spoken since Macron’s election in 2017. The two world leaders seem to have a strong relationship.

Macron has traveled to the Vatican before to specifically meet with the Pontiff, where they had lengthy private talks at the Vatican in the pope’s library of the Apostolic Palace — where they discussed views on various world issues.

The meeting was also described as intense and truly moving by Macron. After his meeting with the Pope, Macron attended a ceremony where he was made an honorary canon of St John Lateran, the cathedral of Rome.

The tradition dates back to the 15th century when the French State and the Church were indistinguishable as the same.

Macron in his speech said he accepted because it belongs to a tradition of harmony and friendship between France and the Vatican to which he is attached.

The Biblical prophecies (Revelation 13) foretell that there will be a political and religious government rise up in the Last Days signaling the world is nearing the end of this age.
