36 people were killed when a gunman stormed a casino-hotel complex in the city of Manila, Philippines.
Isis has claimed responsibility but Manila police claim none of the bodies were shot and that they died from the fire and smoke set by the terrorist. They further claim the killer was motivated by robbery or revenge and not related to Isis.
It’s not clear how the gunman smuggled petrol and an assault rifle into the crowded casino. The attacker barged into a room on the 5th floor of the hotel connected to the mall and casino where he set himself on fire.
