Martial law has not been officially declared in Washington DC, but unofficially and for any practical purposes, martial law exists inside the district.
Many are now calling it Fortress Washington. As the government has created a militarized “green zone” in Washington DC.
Where the Capitol has been turned into an armed military camp with 25,000 National Guardsmen there, who are bristling with loaded weapons.
According to the Brennan Center for Justice, martial law has only been declared 68 times in the history of the U.S.
Twenty-nine of those times were to combat labor disputes, four for natural disasters and twice during war. The federal government has not declared martial law since the attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii (1941).
And the government doesn’t want to call it that, but there is a 7-foot non-scalable fence that now surrounds the Capitol which has also been topped with razor wire, and behind it, thousands of armed National Guardsmen.
The National Mall and all iconic national landmarks are closed to the public and businesses are also boarding up as well.
Streets that are usually busy and traffic-clogged are empty and residents were warned that cars within the exclusion zone would have to stay there until after the inauguration.
Streets are blocked off with concrete barriers throughout the city and vehicle checkpoints have been erected surrounding central Washington forming a security perimeter.
The key bridge over the Potomac River that connects Virginia to Washington, as well as East and West Potomac Parks, including Hains Point, which are near the Mall are closed off.
Matthew Miller, the head of the Secret Service’s Washington field office, told reporters: “We cannot allow a recurrence of the chaos and illegal activity that the United States and the world witnessed last week.”
Referring to the chaos of the riot in the US Capitol on January 6th, when the US Congress was certifying the results of the presidential election, which the riot forced the Legislature to flee.
Virginia also has announced it would close several other bridges connecting the state with the federal district from Jan. 19 to Jan. 21, as part of its agreement with the U.S. Secret Service. Maryland, the other state bordering the nation’s capital, declared a state of emergency related to the inauguration.
Officials have upped the number of National Guard troops there with it rising to 25,000 in Washington D.C., but still said that’s a number that could increase even further.
This inauguration is going to be significantly different than any previous swearing-in of a president in this country. As a state of martial law unofficially exists in its capital district.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21, 2 Timothy 3) foretell that there will be a time of division with offenses and bitterness even leading to violence as it was in the Days of Noah that will happen as signs of the Last Days indicating the nearing end of this age.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
The prophecy has come true, the perilous times are here. The need is greater than ever before.
