One of the biggest evacuations of aircraft on record happened as airlines and private aircraft flew out of Florida to flee Hurricane Irma’s path.
Hundreds of planes with thousands of passengers filled the air in the effort to avoid the looming disaster.
Meanwhile, tens of thousands of flights in the U.S. and other countries have been canceled or re-planned due to the super-storm.
Even the biggest planes, can become toys in the hands of nature’s wrath.
Delta, Southwest, and American have stopped flights out of Florida as Irma moves in, and a large number of international airlines as British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are among carriers that have grounded flights headed there.
Also, airlines worked to evacuate all planes so as not to leave any aircraft in Florida, and any aircraft undergoing maintenance that were unable to fly were placed in a hangar and secured.
U.S. carriers also made efforts to add larger planes with more seats on the last flights out of the state to help evacuate residents, but for some people, reasonably priced escape options ran out.
It’s reported that some people paid $5,000 for an airline ticket to escape and at air charter services prices were ranging from $7,000 or $8,000 up to “tens of thousands” to move people from the hurricane’s path.
This is but a small taste, and as well Signs of the Last Days Prophecies, how people will want to flee the coming disasters in the Great Tribulation.
As Revelation 6:15 says, “Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.”
Disaster is an equal opportunity experience for everyone in those Last Days.
It is only those who have punched a born again ticket into the Church of Jesus Christ in His Kingdom that will have risen safely above that storm of wrath Jesus called the Great Tribulation.
As Jesus said in John 3:5-7, “Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God… Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ ”
