A massive earthquake of rare magnitude, coming in at 8.2-M, has hit Alaska spawning initial tsunami alerts from Hawaii to New Zealand.

Authorities as far away as Hawaii, Japan and New Zealand confirmed they were on alert for potential tsunami waves.

The U.S. tsunami alert system also sent notifications to residents along the southern coast of Alaska as residents evacuated to higher ground.

The huge earthquake struck off of Alaska’s Aleutian Islands at a depth of nearly 30 miles and was located about 50 miles from Perryville, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Seismologists with the Alaska Earthquake Center say that this is the largest earthquake to happen in the Alaska region in over half a century according to Alaska Public Media.

There were also strong aftershocks following that were strong earthquakes unto themselves with those measured at preliminary magnitudes of 6.2 and magnitude 5.6.

The good news is that reports have shown that the large earthquake was offshore and to not have done damage. And the tsunami warnings in Hawaii and Guam where canceled after it appeared the earthquake did not produce destructive waves.

The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 6) foretell that seismic activity as earthquakes and volcanoes will signal the world is nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
