A huge suicide bomb ripped through a supposedly secure area of Kabul at the height of their morning rush hour. The massive bomb concealed in a water delivery truck shook a nearby diplomatic area like an earthquake killing at least 90 people and wounding 400.
This latest attack highlights the deteriorating security situation across Afghanistan not withstanding the continuing flow of positive security statements from Afghan and U.S. officials.
US military officials have already told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the Pentagon may be sending more US troops to the country.
