According to one of the nation’s top infectious disease experts, the pandemic of coronavirus is on the verge of being “apocalyptic.”

The three most populous states in the country—Texas, Florida, and California—home to more than 27.4% of the U.S. population are experiencing record breaking cases of the highly infectious virus.

Recent reports say that Florida and Texas topped 5,000 new COVID-19 cases in a day, while California recorded more than 7,000.

Experts are particularly concerned about the Lone Star state, specifically the Houston metro area. The city, which recently saw an explosion of coronavirus cases, could become the new epicenter of the virus in the United States.

Other cities— including Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio—are also experiencing major surges.

Dr. Peter Hotez, a dean at the Baylor College of Medicine said “The big metro areas seem to be rising very quickly and some of the models are on the verge of being apocalyptic.”

He went on to say “That is really worrisome and as those numbers rise, we’re seeing commensurate increases in the number of hospitalizations and ICU admissions. You get to the point where you overwhelm ICUs and that’s when the mortality goes up.”

Recent reports reveal that ICU’s in the Texas Medical Center at Houston, the world’s largest medical complex, have reached their capacity.

Texas, California, and Florida aren’t the only states where the coronavirus curve is on a disturbing trend upward. A majority of U.S. states are experiencing a spike of cases compared to the previous week.

In Texas the governor is now saying coronavirus is spreading at an unacceptable rate and has signed an order rolling back the re-opening of the state re-instituting some restrictions. Also, telling people to stay home and if they go out to wear a mask.

The Biblical Prophecies of Jesus (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that pestilence will be a sign indicating the nearing of the end of this age.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
