NASA, FEMA, and other national and international agencies are gearing up for an asteroid impact by conducting planetary defense drills in a preparedness scenario for when an apocalyptic space rock is heading for Earth.

Participants will discuss potential preparations for studying an asteroid or comet, as well as how to deflect it and lessen the damage caused by any impact.

The concern over the threat of asteroid impacts has gained increasing prominence over recent years, particularly since the Chelyabinsk fireball of 2013.

The meteor, which blazed across the southern Ural Mountain range in February 2013, was the largest recorded meteor strike in more than a century, after the Tunguska event of 1908.

More than 1,600 people were injured by the shock wave from the explosion, estimated to be as strong as 20 Hiroshima atomic bombs.

NASA now admits that the threat of killer asteroids is real as NASA’s astronomers agree the threat of a asteroid striking Earth is too high to ignore.

And on the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Center for Near Earth Objects (NEO) website is the Planetary Defense Asteroid Impact Scenario exercise that’s being used to support an emergency response exercise to be conducted during the International Academy of Astronautics Planetary Defense Conference.

Previously, NASA had been directed by Congress to discover and catalog all near-Earth objects in space that could cause significant damage and determine if they were on a collision course with Earth.

And NASA and officials became so alarmed by their research that they established the NASA Planetary Defense Office in response to encompass all the capabilities needed to try and detect the possibility, and warn of potential asteroid impacts with Earth, and then plan how to prevent them or mitigate their possible effects.

In preparation for a possible impact, NASA and other international science organizations will participate in this 2019 Planetary Defense Conference next week.

And in the exercise will play out the scenario for an asteroid on an impact trajectory for Earth with experts discussing the dangers posed by NEOs and actions that might be taken to deflect a threatening object.

NASA’s Planetary Defense Officer has described the exercises as helping the planetary defense community to understand what disaster management needs to know. And that the exercise helps develop more effective communications between groups and with governments.

Obviously, although this scenario is an exercise, from such effort and expenditure officials and agencies believe an asteroid strike of serious consequences is coming.

And the Biblical prophecies foretell that it will happen. In Revelation chapter 8 the prophecy foretells how in the future that a massive object will make a deep impact on the earth after it hits in the sea.

In Revelation chapter 8 the prophecy says that something like a great mountain burning with fire (which is what an asteroid in space looks like as it enters the earth’s atmosphere) was thrown into the sea.

And the impact from this object is so severe that the shock wave kills 1/3 of the living creatures in the sea, turning also 1/3 of the sea to blood; and the shock wave and resulting tsunami is so massive until a third of all the ships are also destroyed.

What the prophecy says is coming, will have massive consequences for earth. And this is what NASA, FEMA, and other agencies from around the world are preparing for next week, which is a sign of the Last Days as we near the end of this age and the appearance of Jesus Christ.
