“Never Before” is a term denoting rare events. And we’re having a lot in 2017. Now Hurricane Irma, a highest cat 5 superstorm, is to hit the U.S.. And “Never Before” has America been hit with back to back category 4 or higher hurricanes.
This is indeed another rare event in America in 2017. A year in which a rare presidential election was held, a rare eclipse occurred, then a never before seen Hurricane Harvey flood of “Biblical” proportions.
After America experienced the rare celestial event of an America only total solar eclipse that traversed America with the path of totality going out of the U.S. and into the main development region for tropical cyclones in late August, then came Harvey and now a back to back hurricane cat 5 monster storm.
Never Before.
Are such successive rare events signs?
The Holy Scriptures call out both eclipses and hurricanes as qualified scriptural signs.
Jesus Christ prophesied that there will be Signs of the Last Days such as celestial signs that would mark events in humankind that affected them. The Lord said in Luke 21:25 : “… And there shall be signs in the sun …; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity ….”(Luke 21:25)
Jesus also said that hurricanes/cyclones would be last days signs as well when he foretold “… on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring ….”(Luke 21:25) – and that is exactly what hurricanes do.
And now America has had back to back to back rare scriptural signs occur.
Should America start old-fashioned prayer and revival meetings, like the ones we had in our first years as a country?
Where Americans literally cried out loudly with tears in repentance and found holiness, they swooned under the power of the Holy Spirit while those listening said they spoke something that only the Spirit knew.
… from which God blessed an America that followed the Scriptures into the strongest and greatest country in the world.
But now, in recent times, after institutionalizing the very ungodliness Scripture teaches against, we keep hearing of our disasters happening that include the words rare or never before.
This points toward the event category Jesus prophesied of in Matthew 24:21. How that when you see the Signs of the Last Days happening that Jesus foretold in Matthew 24, that then “… there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
Events like Never Before.
It is time for prayer. It is time for repentance, from ungodliness and fake pseudo-Christianity, that God hates most.
And the only truly good news is that Jesus is coming back, first secretly to rapture His true Church above the flood of destruction. Then His second coming to earth with his saints for all the world to see as the King of Kings.
Only then will there be peace on earth without end that only He can bring.
“For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
