Palestinians clashed with Israeli police on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount again amid fears of renewed fighting with the Hamas terror group in Gaza over the situation in the Holy City.

The clashes began after Friday afternoon prayers at the holy site in the Old City with a procession of several hundred people, dozens of whom refused to disperse when they arrived at the exit to the compound and began hurling rocks at police.

Several were wounded and hospitalized from the clashes as stones were thrown by the crowd and officers responded with sponge-tipped bullets and stun grenades, with 16 people arrested for throwing stones and rioting. As Palestinians could also be seen raising the Palestinian flag following their Friday prayers.

The clashes occurred after the Israel Defense Forces conducted airstrikes on Hamas targets in Gaza in response to ongoing arson attacks in Israel from the enclave.

Last month’s round of fighting between Israel and Gaza-based terror groups also had came following violent clashes in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount.

Where Palestinian terror groups fired thousands of rockets into Israel after unrest in Jerusalem connected to prayer on the Temple Mount during the Muslim month of Ramadan.

Since the last fighting ended, Hamas has repeatedly warned that it could reopen hostilities over developments in Jerusalem, and has responded with increased belligerence over the Jerusalem Flag March.

When this week thousands of Jewish nationalists marched through parts of Jerusalem’s Old City waving the Flag of Israel celebrating Israel as a nation and its sovereignty over Jerusalem.

From the flag march, Hamas terrorists in Gaza resumed launching fire balloons carrying incendiary and explosive devices into southern Israel setting wildfires, and violating the fragile ceasefire agreement that began May 21.

The Biblical prophecies (Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 38) foretell that the Arab-Israeli conflict will continue and become intense in the Last Days signaling we are nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
