Previously, skeptics have dismissed the threat posed by Pyongyang’s weapons program, but the determined nuclear missile lust of its “dear leader” is showing a track record of consistent progress now that has many becoming concerned.
Because now they’ve paraded two different ICBM [inter-continental ballistic missiles] through Pyongyang, conducted four nuclear tests, showed off a compact nuclear design sitting next to a modern re-entry vehicle in front of one of those ICBMs, and hung a giant wall map of the United States marked with targets and called it the mainland strike plan.
This is showing a lot of effort and determination resulting in surprising progress, causing concern about not taking North Korea’s potential capabilities seriously enough; since as always, there is the shadowy support of their program from members of the Axis of Evil such as Russia and Iran who could use North Korea as a proxy to harm America.
This year North Korea has exploded nuclear bomb tests estimated at 20 to 30 kilotons yet our radiation-sniffing planes didn’t pick-up any alarming release of radiation. This caused many to think they were hydrogen-based thermonuclear devices with increased gamma ray emissions. This could mean a super-EMP or electromagnetic pulse weapon.
The reality is that North Korea really does want to hurt or wipe out the U.S., and an EMP or Super-EMP weapon detonated at an altitude of between 25 and 300 miles above the U.S. would be cataclysmic. The apocalyptic power of a Super-EMP would blast the country back to a stone age existence without electricity, electronics, communications, the internet, or transportation with societal chaos ensuing.
