North Korea has spent decades developing nuclear devices and the missiles to launch them while threatening to flatten cities in the US and Asia.
Though experts in the past dismissed those threats as fantasy, North Korea has recently made swift progress toward that end.
A senior fellow for missile defense at the International Institute for Strategic Studies said that he wouldn’t be incredibly surprised if it happened in the next few months.
And an arms control publisher recently said that North Korea wants an ICBM with a thermonuclear weapon, and they’re not going to stop.
