The big tech companies of Apple, Google, and Amazon, took actions to black out Parler, a social media platform that touts its commitment to free speech, which conservatives have recently been flocking to in large numbers.

Google struck first when it removed Parler from its Google Play Store, and then Apple followed suit also removing Parler from its App Store. And then Amazon’s web-hosting service, AWS, booted Parler from their hosting service blacking out the website altogether.

Parler CEO John Matze decried the punishments as “a coordinated attack by the tech giants to kill competition in the marketplace. We were too successful too fast,” he said in a post, adding it was possible Parler would be unavailable for up to a week “as we rebuild from scratch.”

“Every vendor, from text message services, to e-mail providers, to our lawyers all ditched us too on the same day,” Matze said on Fox News.

He also said while the company is trying to get back online as quickly as possible, it’s “having a lot of trouble, because every vendor we talk to says they won’t work with us, because, if Apple doesn’t approve and Google doesn’t approve, they won’t.”

Losing access to the app stores of Google and Apple, whom have a monopoly powering hundreds of millions of smartphones, severely limited Parler’s reach, though it had continued to be accessible via web browser.

But losing Amazon Web Services meant Parler had to scramble to find another web host, in addition to any re-engineering required.

Yet as Big Tech dealt body blows to Mr. Matze’s company, he insisted that Parler would eventually triumph. “I believe Amazon, Google, Apple worked together to try and ensure they don’t have competition,” he wrote on Parler. “They will NOT win! We are the world’s last hope for free speech and free information.”
