The pastor of a Baptist Church says he now plans to launch a cannabis business which will help drive membership in his church.
The pastor talked about his plan during an Instagram Live saying that he plans to open a cannabis clinic on the church campus within 180 days.
He also touted the medical benefits of cannabis, reciting a long list of ailments and diseases that cannabis could help.
Although he described that the cannabis would not be a ploy or distraction from winning souls to Christ, he said that the advantages and impact of urban cannabis farming would be an unconventional way to heal people’s lives.
He said “I believe the responsibility of the church is transformation. That the young men who used to poison our communities, now help heal them and I believe that hemp is one of the ways we can do it.”
He said he knows that his idea was not conventional but that he serves “an unconventional God” and that if this idea doesn’t work, he will try something else.
The Biblical prophecies (2 Timothy 4:3-4, 1 Timothy 4:1, Revelation 3:17-18) foretell how the sound teaching of Christ’s Gospel will be replaced with other things signaling the world is in the Last Days near the end of this age of grace at the appearance of Jesus Christ.
