The recent weeks of deadly fighting between Israelis and Palestinians, which finally stopped with a fragile ceasefire, shows the old Middle East peace process is dead.
Gone are the heady days of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process that made world-wide headlines with its diplomacy.
As US presidents and other world leaders pressed forward to reach what would be an extraordinary accomplishment. No doubt garnering the Nobel Peace Prize for whoever accomplished an agreement for Mid-East peace.
But none of that Mid-East diplomacy, which included the Camp David Accords and Oslo Accords, ever really worked out.
Because here we are now. Hezbollah and Hamas are more entrenched and stronger than ever before. And threatening now a “regional war” with Israel for the express purpose of “Israel’s destruction.”
And the latest fighting and threats reveal that the Mid-East is void of any leadership that has the influence and approach to bring an agreement for peace to the region.
Though the liberal US media would never admit it, at least Trump and Kushner did something different in the Mid-East which bore some fruit.
Where four Arab nations “normalized relations” with Israel through the Abraham Accords establishing diplomatic relations.
As Trump-Kushner initially focused more on Israel and joint business/financial opportunities with Arab nations in a peace to prosperity approach while ignoring the Palestinian political issues.
But when they did turn to the Palestinian land issues in their “Deal of the Century,” which included an elaborate carving up of Israel for a highly conditional Palestinian State, Trump surprisingly lost the White House.
Then the Biden White House began with no approach to the Mid-East whatsoever, other than evidently to ignore Israel.
Biden did not even talk to Netanyahu for many weeks and did not appoint an ambassador to Israel for months — until the Mid-East blew up in his face.
As the Palestinians saw an opportunity. As Biden reopened relations with them and provided them millions in funding while ignoring Israel.
So they pressed the advantage engaging Israel in the recent fighting in Jerusalem and Gaza putting them center stage again with world attention.
So there is no Mid-East leadership now from the U.S., as evidenced by the current fragile cease-fire between Hamas and Israel being negotiated by Egypt. Biden only afterwards sending the U.S. Secretary of State as a second thought for an obligatory show of Mid-East meetings promising money.
And the Middle East Quartet comprising the United Nations, the United States, the European Union, and Russia, has been dormant and quiet. While they amongst themselves are having huge tensions arising from Russian aggression.
Anyway, even if there was some current Mid-East leadership, who would negotiate with whom? Who would negotiate for the Palestinians? Who would negotiate for Israel?
Mahmoud Abbas, now 85, who became head of the Palestinian Authority after the death of Yasser Arafat, has become viewed by many Palestinians as part of the problem and no longer representing them. While the Palestinian militant group Hamas has grown stronger.
And Israel has failed to elect and form a government now after four elections in two years with their being no coalition formed that can negotiate for the Jewish State. And when some kind of Israeli government coalition is finally ever formed after that it will most likely be weak.
Obviously, we have arrived at a time where there is a vacuum of political leadership in the Middle East. The question is, who will step into the void?
The world condition is ripening perfectly for someone new to rise and fill this Mid-East void of leadership — just as Biblical Prophecy foretells.
Where the Prophecies foretell (Daniel 8-9-11, Matthew 24, Revelation 13) that a person of special powers will rise in the arch of the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
Who will come to have the influence in the Mid-East which enables him to do what others wanted and could not.
Which is to confirm an agreement with Israel and others in the region. And this accomplishment will set the stage for the completion of the end-time prophecies fulfillment.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
