The Pope of the world-wide Roman Church met with leaders of IBM and Microsoft at the Vatican where he backed their philosophy of using artificial intelligence in the world.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is computer intelligence in machines driven by software that can autonomously analyze its environment and make decisions in a way that mimics human beings.

AI is already infiltrating the human existence with supercomputers, interactive digital assistants as Siri and Alexa, facial recognition, and robotics.

At the meeting in the Vatican, the Pope met with John Kelly III, an IBM executive vice president, and Microsoft president Brad Smith.

Where IBM and Microsoft agreed with the Vatican for a set of ethical principles in an approach to AI for humanity.

Of particular concern was that artificial intelligence as a technology, most adept at mimicking the best and worst of human qualities, could be used for humanity’s greater good or as a force for evil in its impact on society.

IBM executive Kelly made a call for leaders of all the world’s great religions, as well as right-minded companies, governments, and organizations everywhere, to join in the effort around the use of AI in the world.

The Roman Church is no stranger to artificial intelligence as it has focused on the technology to where even an order of priests has supported research into it.

Also, the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy for Life, the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, and the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, have hosted conferences on robotics and artificial intelligence.

With these attended by high-powered technology executives as DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis, Facebook computer scientist Yann LeCun, and the Pope himself meeting with Microsoft president Brad Smith, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and Google’s Eric Schmidt.

So it’s not surprising that there is a convergence of the Vatican’s vision for artificial intelligence with that of the technology giants in a belief that the technology has a place for use in humanity.

And the Roman Church through the centuries has made statues in the image of people that they wanted to venerate with honor in their worship.

And they have also claimed miraculous signs of life happening with their statues to where the images were said to have wept tears or even blood as an interaction with people of faith causing religious fervor.

Such as the Roman Church case of Audrey Santo for sainthood where there have been reports of statues and pictures weeping in her former home.

Could it be that artificial intelligence could be used in a future image as a way to interact with the masses and encourage their faith and desired outcomes?

Already, there are AI robotic priests which are in major world religions that have been known to use statues.

Like in Japan at a 400-year-old Buddhist temple, an AI priest named Mindar delivers sermons and moves around in a body made of aluminum and silicone to interact with worshipers. Mindar is a robot designed to look like Kannon, the Buddhist deity of mercy.

And in India, the Indians rolled out a robot that performs a Hindu ritual, which involves moving light in front of a deity.

Then there’s SanTO — short for Sanctified Theomorphic Operator — a 17-inch-tall robot made to look like figurines of Roman Church Catholic saints.

You can speak to it and for example tell it that you’re worried, and it will speak back to you with something like, “From the Gospel according to Matthew, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

And the Revelation Prophecy in chapter 13 describes that in the future there will be an antichrist religion, where there will be an image of the beast or antichrist which interacts with the people causing them to worship him.

The prophecy describes there will be the false prophet who will tell those who dwell on the earth, to make an image to the beast or antichrist. Which as mentioned, this has been the standard practice of the Roman Church.

Then the prophecy describes that the false prophet is granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

There are many signs, like the use of statues or images to venerate people in religion, also the claims of miraculous manifestations of life with the images, and then the capabilities of artificial intelligence converging with religious interest, which are all conditioning humanity for the prophetic fulfillment of the false prophet and his image of antichrist in the Revelation prophecy.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

The prophecy has come true, the perilous times are here. The need is greater than ever before.
