A strong 7.1 magnitude earthquake has struck the Philippines setting off landslides and toppling buildings as terrified people rushed outdoors.
At least 64 people have been injured with at least 5 killed from the severe earthquake.
Some officials said the earthquake was the most powerful they had ever felt and described the shaking of the ground like being on a swing and that they thought the ground would actually open up.
Another official said the quake had been felt strongly there and lasted 30 seconds or more and thought that his home would fall.
A journalist and companions described how they were traveling downhill in two vans when they suddenly heard thunder-like thuds and saw an avalanche of boulders as big as cars raining down just ahead of them from a towering mountain.
Some hospitals were also evacuated moving out patients and medical personnel, including some patients who were in wheelchairs and still in beds.
Officials said at least 173 buildings have been damaged and over 200 aftershocks have been recorded in the area, according to the state seismology agency.
Also, 58 landslides were reported in the aftermath with several bridges destroyed and hundreds of houses have cracked walls including some that collapsed.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 6) foretell that there will be earthquakes in the prophetic Last Days signaling the world is nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
