President Trump today announced he is invoking the Defense Production Act as part of the administration’s efforts to tackle the coronavirus pandemic describing himself as being a “wartime president.”
The act ensures support for the private sector enabling them to ramp-up manufacturing and distribution of emergency supplies and equipment for the country.
The move gives the White House the authority to increase production of masks, ventilators and respirators, as well as expand hospital capacity to combat the coronavirus.
When asked if he saw the nation as being on a wartime footing he said he did, and described himself as “in a sense a wartime president.”
He made the remarks at a press conference along with members of the coronavirus pandemic task force.
Vice President Mike Pence, who is leading the taskforce, also announced that Health and Human Services are suspending a regulation that prevents medical professionals from practicing medicine across state lines. He also called on the nation to postpone all elective medical procedures.
The coronavirus pandemic crisis has caused chaos in the financial markets and the economy as a whole with the country focusing on medical preparations to combat it.
The Biblical Prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that pestilence will be a sign of the Last Days indicating the nearing end of this age of grace.
These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
