The U.S. President has put the Army on notice to be deployed to US streets for the first time since the LA riots in 1992 as Minneapolis erupts for the fourth night and violent protests sweep the country over the killing of George Floyd.
Soldiers in North Carolina and in New York have been ordered to be ready to move in within four hours, while troops in Colorado and Kansas have been told to be ready within 24 hours.
After the president asked Defense Secretary Mark Esper for military options in tackling the escalating civil unrest spreading across America.
The historic move comes as violent protests demanding justice for Floyd spread across the US Friday night, with the CNN headquarters under siege in Atlanta, NYPD officers fending off rioters from a police precinct in Brooklyn, and the White House forced to go into lockdown as demonstrators tried to scale the walls.
Looting and fires broke out again in Minneapolis as protesters defied the state curfew and the National Guard failed to keep the city under control.
As chaos has exploded in protests having now reached all corners of America with break-off demonstrations springing up across states including New York, Kentucky, Texas, and Georgia.
As the unrest spreads across dozens of American cities, the Pentagon took the rare step of ordering the Army to put several active-duty U.S. military police units on the ready to deploy to Minneapolis.
Soldiers from Fort Bragg and Fort Drum have been ordered to be ready to deploy within four hours if called, according to people with direct knowledge of the orders. Soldiers at Fort Carson and Fort Riley have been told to be ready to deploy within 24 hours.
The get-ready orders were sent verbally after President Donald Trump asked Defense Secretary Mark Esper for military options to help quell the unrest.
Trump made the request on a phone call from the Oval Office that included Esper, National Security Advisor Robert O’ Brien and several others.
The military units would be deployed into U.S. city streets under the Insurrection Act of 1807, which was last used in 1992 during the riots in Los Angeles that followed the Rodney King trial.
The Biblical prophecies (Genesis 6, Matthew 24) describe that hatred and violence like that of the days of Noah will be a sign indicating the nearing end of this age of grace.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
