Several “progressive” Christian ministers in interviews recently said that they believe that sex before marriage is not sinful.

Also, that it is unreasonable to expect people to stay chaste until marriage saying it was outdated and silly. One also said that he doesn’t judge those who choose to engage in random sexual hookups.

Another said he thinks the evangelical church world has taught some really unhealthy ideas about sex and sexuality. And that he spends a lot of his time trying to deconstruct the ‘purity culture’ in favor of a healthier, more holistic view of sexuality.

One who is divorced, outlined that his church is aware of his multiple relationships, and said one of the worst things the Church has done is take God and the Divine out of the bedroom and shame people for their desires and practices.

He believed that contractual arrangements of marriage are not the boundary on sex but people’s own personal ethics are.

One of the interviewees also said that sexual relationships outside of the marriage covenant are fine provided they are mutually pleasurable and affirming.

The “progressive” ministers also said they have no issues with dating someone who is not a Christian, and would actually prefer so.  One said that he mostly dates atheists and agnostics, stating that he desires those who “at the very minimum question the historic faith.”

Progressive Christianity churches and ministers promotes themselves as a community inclusive of all sexual orientations and practices. They also do not promote Jesus Christ as the only way to God but as one of many ways in the spiritual journey.

These attitudes in modern Christianity demonstrate we live in the Last Days near the end of this age and the coming of Jesus for His true, faithful, and Biblical Church.

The Church who believes the Apostles of Jesus, who said in Ephesians 5 “ but fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you… for this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person,… has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.”

And the Church who also believes the words of Jesus Christ, that “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
