Russia has moved to close broad areas of the Black Sea near Crimea and Ukraine to foreign navy ships and state vessels.
The U.S. State Department said “this represents yet another unprovoked escalation in Moscow’s ongoing campaign to undermine and destabilize Ukraine.”
Saying that the move “is particularly troubling amid credible reports of Russian troop buildup in occupied Crimea and around Ukraine’s borders.”
Russia’s Putin in pushing the advantage is also closing off the Kerch Strait between Crimea and Russia essentially blocking all foreign warships from getting to Ukraine.
The Kerch Strait is a crucial access for the Ukrainian ports of Mairupol and Berdyansk. The Russian blockade will leave the region vulnerable in the face of Russian aggression.
Russia is rejecting all international criticism amid this latest move insisting that Russia has the right to restrict foreign naval ships’ movement off Crimea.
The latest aggressive moves by Putin in the Black Sea region have come after Biden backed down having US warships to turn back from the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin is saying that Russia could be forced to intervene in Ukraine in order to protect its civilians in the region.
And the Ukrainian President is saying that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin is refusing to take his phone calls.
Every sign from Russia in this situation is classic for pointing toward an escalation of conflict between Russia and Ukraine or even a potential large-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that there will be wars and rumors of wars signaling the world is nearing the end of this age.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
