A rare “ring of fire” annular solar eclipse is to happen Christmas that will be visible across the Middle East and Asia.
The “ring of fire” eclipse will be visible from a path stretching from Saudi Arabia through Singapore to Guam in the Pacific Ocean. Across some countries the strange sight can last for up to 3 minutes and 40 seconds.
And in Saudi Arabia on the highway from Riyadh to Damman there will be the bizarre sight of a sun rising as a “ring of fire.”
An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is positioned furthest from the Earth on its elliptical orbit, so it appears slightly smaller in the sky and cannot fully eclipse the Sun.
Making the annular solar eclipse rather special because only about 95% of the Sun’s disk will be covered. This results in a “ring of fire” that will appear in the daytime sky from the near total solar eclipse.
But this type of eclipse is also described as one of the most dangerous. Since with the core of the Sun’s disk blocked out, people are lulled into thinking they can watch the solar eclipse without eye protection.
Which is very dangerous to look at an annular solar eclipse with the naked eye without wearing eye protection. This type of solar eclipse has also been called the “ring of light” since it can cause damage to the eyes and even blindness.
This astronomical spectacle happening at Christmas in the Middle East is rare.
Since this type of solar eclipse can only take place when it is a New Moon; and at the same time, the Moon is at (or very near) a lunar node, so the Earth, the Moon, and the Sun are aligned in a straight line; with the Moon also near its farthest point from Earth, called apogee, so only the outer edge of the Sun remains visible as a ring of fiery sunlight.
And it was about two millennia ago when another celestial event happened over the Middle East and Asia, when Christ the Savior was born who is the reason for the celebration at this season.
When there was a sign in the heavens where wise men from the East saw His star, and they traveled as the star which they had seen went before them.
Until it came and stood over where the young Child was, and they worshiped Him for they knew the sign had brought them to the Savior and King.
And the Biblical Prophecies (Luke 21) of Lord Jesus the Savior foretell that in the Last Days there will again be signs in the heavens with the Sun, the Moon, and the stars. When the Savior will come again, but this time as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
