The U.S. heartland has just had the 12th consecutive day with at least eight tornado reports, breaking the record, according to Dr. Patrick Marsh, the warning coordination meteorologist at the National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
Dr. Marsh said “What has really set us apart has been the last 10 days or so. The last 10 days took us from about normal to well above normal.”
Tuesday was the 12th consecutive day with at least eight tornado reports, breaking the record, according to Dr. Marsh. “Typically, you’d see a break of a day or two in between these long stretches, but we’re just not getting that right now.”
“We are flirting in uncharted territory,” Dr. Marsh said of the sustained period of severe weather.
Dire warnings and frantic rushes to safety have taken place across the country in recent weeks, and the nation’s tornado death toll has reached its highest level since 2014.
With this new record of 12 consecutive days with at least eight tornado reports, this is an unprecedented stretch of weather in the U.S. heartland—again in 2019.
It was only just 2 months ago in March and April, when two unprecedented bomb cyclones or hurricanes amazingly formed over the heartland causing unprecedented flooding and damage.
Those cat-2 hurricane force cyclones strangely combined the worst weather of all four seasons into one — from violent tornadoes, thunderstorms, damaging hurricane-force winds, severe blizzard conditions and flooding.
Meteorologists described them as a storm for the record books, strengthening from a run-of-the-mill weather disturbance into a historic cyclone in just 24 hours.
These unprecedented weather events, and records, keep coming from forces created in the power of the air.
The Bible teaches that satan is the god of this disobedient age (2 Corinthians 4:4), and the Holy Scriptures also say he is “the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2).
Could these increasing unprecedented weather events from storms and tornadoes in the power of the air, crushing on the U.S. heartland, be the result of America’s increasing disobedience to the Word of God in the Holy Bible?
… By having laws and administration that opposes the God described in the Bible and are transgressions of His Word? To where the U.S. is giving increasing authority within the country to satan, instead of to God, thus opening itself up to increasing harm?
This is a hard question. But we know the Heavenly Father “makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:45). But as to calamity and destruction on earth, that is the special work of someone else evil.
The Holy Scriptures say about satan that he is the enemy of humanity who comes to kill and destroy them (1 Peter 5:8, John 8:44, John 10:10); while he also deceives them into disobedience to give authority of earth to him; which started in the garden of Eden.
And the prophecies speaking of the Last Days also say “…Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” (Revelation 12:12)
What has been happening to the U.S. with increasing destruction from “the power of the air ” in weather events is a sign of the Last Day prophecies, and a call to prayer for our country.
