It’s reported Russia’s military success in Syria is enabling their winning of the proxy war between them and the U.S.
This means Russia and Iran can become dominant in the region as prophesied and also leads to a reason why they can invade Israel.
Russia entered Syria militarily to support the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad so to keep him from losing his grip on power and to protect their interests in the Middle-East. They and the Iranians fought against CIA-backed rebel forces and have for the most part gained the upper hand on the battlefield.

This was the first time since Afghanistan in the 1980’s that the Russian military had been in direct combat with rebel forces trained and supplied by the C.I.A.
Russia has not become stuck in a quagmire as predicted by the current U.S. administration, and they have now come to Russia asking for ways they could potentially work together in Syria. This basically acknowledges their success and provides Russia and Iran a path forward.
After Russia’s annexation of Crimea and incursion into Ukraine, Russia’s battlefield successes in Syria has now given Moscow new leverage in decisions about the future of the Middle East.
These signs are in
agreement with the prophecy of Ezekiel 38.
Russia and Iran are expected to become dominant and successful in the region while also present at the borders of Israel.
This also leads to the expectation that the current Syrian government survives and could lobby Russia together with Iran on its grievances against Israel concerning the Golan Heights, which is the disputed border between Syria and Israel.
This could provide Russia the reason and international legitimacy to go into the Golan Heights of Israel.
