Russia today threatened “military and political consequences” against Finland and Sweden if they attempted to join NATO.
As Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova warned against other countries attempting to join NATO after Russia has started a war with Ukraine.
Russia’s Zakharova said in a press conference that “Finland and Sweden should not base their security on damaging the security of other countries and their accession to NATO can have detrimental consequences and face some military and political consequences.”
Zakharova also said during the press conference, “Clearly [the] accession of Finland and Sweden into NATO, which is first and foremost a military alliance, would have serious military-political repercussions that would demand a response from our country.”
Russia’s foreign ministry later posted the same threat on its Twitter. Finland and Sweden have given significant military and humanitarian support to Ukraine since Russia invaded.
And this Russian threat comes after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that his country was receiving support from both nations.
Both of the country’s have posted condemnations of Russia for their attack on Ukraine saying it is also an attack on the European security order. And they expressed solidarity with Ukraine saying that Russia alone was responsible for the human suffering.
One pretext of several that Russia has given for attacking Ukraine is that NATO would not give any assurance that Ukraine would not be allowed to join the intergovernmental military alliance.
Russia, which is the territory of the ancient aggressive tribes Gog of Magog north of the Caucasus Mountains at the roof of the world, is exerting the dominion of its Last Days prophetic role foretold in Biblical Prophecy.
The Biblical prophecies (Ezekiel 38, Ezekiel 39, Matthew 24) foretell of wars and rumors of wars, and that Magog Russia will take military action that ultimately affects Israel in the Last Days signaling we are nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
