A mission ministry center was destroyed by tanks in Russia’s war on Ukraine and then Russian troops burned their stockpile of Bibles they were going to distribute.
The nonprofit ministry that is helping meet the needs of Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war, reported that one of its training centers in Irpin was destroyed by tanks during a battle.
After their building was destroyed in the tank’s crossfire, they said that then Russian troops threw their remaining stockpiles of Bibles and Christian books from the building on the ground and burned them.
The mission leader said they were saddened by the loss. But that buildings can be replaced and that they are reprinting hundreds and hundreds of copies of new Scriptures to put into the hands of the those that they train so to continue reaching out to people who are in need.
The ministry leader said, “There were lots of tears shed after we got the news” of the building’s destruction but he remains confident that “God will continue providing.”
The ministry said that they thanked God for the safety of all their team members and evacuees and that “nothing will stop the spread of the gospel in Ukraine and across the former Soviet Union.”
