The Signs of the Last Days are in the media. The news is like an increasingly raging sea with its waves bringing us ever more wars and rumors of wars, violence and atrocities, disease and pestilence, fear and worry; until the waves of it are coming so fast and crashing over us so hard that we can hardly breathe. It’s just like the Holy Scriptures said in Luke 21:25-26, “and there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth…”. All of this, Signs of the Last Days.
The storm clouds of the world environment are ominous, but are people discerning these signs? Do they see what it means to the times in which we live?
In the Holy Writ, Jesus Christ of Nazareth said in Matthew 16:3, “You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” People are knowledgeable and sophisticated to detect the weather, or stock markets and economies. Yet, when it comes to the prophetic Signs of the Last Days, many are unaware of what’s happening in the world now, and coming in the near future.
In Matthew 24:3 as Jesus sat upon the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and asked, “Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” In response, the first thing he said in a long list of the Signs of the Last Days was, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” Don’t let yourself or anyone else lead you to believe that things are going to continue as they always have!
Never before has the pace of world events been so rapidly fulfilling the prophecies made by the Prophets of Old and Jesus Christ and his Apostles. The Signs of the Last Days are everywhere! It’s important to understand how the secrets of the ancient passages of Holy Scripture are being more fully revealed in the world, so that we understand the signs of our times and are prepared.
