Eyewitnesses and meteorologists said it was an eerie sight to see with the Sun and the Moon turning blood red in the sky over the southwestern U.S.

Meteorologists say the smoke and ash from the unprecedented record firestorms on the U.S. west coast filled the atmosphere and jet stream.

With the particles darkening skies in several states and also affecting the light causing the Sun and the Moon to take on the strange color.

Eyewitnesses say it was an eerie sight to see in Arizona where a red sun and moon were captured by residents across the state lighting up social media.

Jim Burwell, a local Arizona photographer, shared images of the incredible sight from his own backyard. He said, “I actually couldn’t believe my eyes. Originally I thought it was the moon but then realized it was the sun;”

“I’ve been in Arizona all my life and witnessed thousands of beautiful sunrises over the years, but I’ve never seen it do this before. I knew we were seeing something pretty special.”

According to Ken Drozd, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Tucson, Arizona, a deep low pressure system which dropped southward with strong winds on its west side, caused the smoke from wildfires in nearby states such as California and Oregon to be quickly transported to Arizona before it had a chance to disperse.

And then the wavelengths of visible light were scattered by the smoke particles, allowing just more of the red color to visibly get through, causing the Sun and Moon to look as though they turn red.

The astonishing wildfires on the West Coast in several states have set records to where officials have said it “boggles the mind” as they have burned a record 4 million acres (6,250 square miles) just this year.

With the resulting smoke and ash from these monstrous firestorms causing people to see the Sun and Moon to glow red as a sign pointing to the nearing prophecies.

The Biblical prophecies (Revelation 6, Revelation 16) foretell that there will be increasing heat upon the earth from the Sun scorching humanity with heat and fire, and also describe the sun becoming black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon becoming like blood, as signs of the Last Days indicating the nearing end of this age.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
