The sun made an appearance in Houston today after days of devastating rain and flooding from Hurricane Harvey caused record flooding in the area.
Houston Mayor Turner made comments on the sunlight in a press conference about how the Good Lord knew that all of us needed to see it.
The sunshine was also a major news item on the local evening news shows.
People around Houston took to social media to express gratitude for the sunshine, which was a very welcome sight after rain caused widespread devastation in the area.
The Houston weather forecast for the area is to start seeing less rain and more sunshine in the coming days.
