For the first time the Syrian Regime has attacked US forces in Syria. The United States shot down a Syrian armed drone that was attacking U.S. led coalition forces.
The drone was similar to a U.S. MQ-1 Predator and fired on coalition forces operating in Southern Syria near the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian border triangle.
U.S. aircraft shot down the drone after it dropped one of several weapons it was carrying near a position occupied by coalition personnel.
The U.S. also conducted strikes against two pick-up trucks with weapons that posed a threat to the U.S. and the coalition forces at the U.S. base in Southern Syria.
