In an interview with a pastor, Texas Governor Greg Abbott urged people to put their trust in God as they struggle through the coronavirus pandemic.

Abbott said, “We are all tested, we are all challenged. There is a solution that will support you and will always be there for you and that’s Jesus Christ, it’s God Almighty. If you lean on Jesus and God, you’ll be taken care of, you’ll be able to weather this storm.”

The Governor went on to say, “God never promises us a life free of storms. What God promised was a pathway through those storms. Put your faith in God. God will bring you through this and Texas will once again rise up to be the number one economy in the United States of America.”

Abbott also talked about going through his own personal crisis and how his faith in God grew from that — enabling him to lead others.

He said, “When I was just 26-years-old, I suffered an injury that broke my back, fractured my vertebrae and my spinal cord leaving me paralyzed and forever using a wheelchair. When you face something like that, it tests your faith…wondering why God would allow something like this to happen.”

Abbott then said, “But, more importantly in the aftermath of that, as I continued to reach out to God, I found God reached right back out to me. My relationship with God and Jesus Christ grew even closer after the accident and it empowered me to go on and become the governor of the great state of Texas.”

Abbott also said prayers were being answered and that the spread of COVID-19 is slowing down in Texas.

Texas has so far had approximately 21,477 coronavirus cases diagnosed along with 566 deaths.

The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24) describe pestilence as a sign that would indicate the beginning of the end of this age of grace called the “beginning of sorrows.”

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
