With Thousands Left Homeless, Tent City Rises Near Walmart In California Fire Zone

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

The recent California fire called the Camp Fire destroyed over 10,000 homes with people losing everything and barely having the chance to escape with their lives.

And with so many immediately left homeless it created a crisis for the evacuees. The result is that a tent city has sprung up in a makeshift area next to a Walmart.

The makeshift relief center is next to the parking lot of a Chico Walmart, which now has swelled to several hundred people, many in tents, who are worrying what will happen next.

They are asking where will all those that have been displaced stay and for how long?

With Paradise and surrounding communities uninhabitable, it seems there is no clear plan to house the thousands of people left homeless by the Camp Fire.

Meanwhile the search for the dead continues, with the death toll and the number of the missing continuing to rise. The sheriff doesn’t rule out the possibility that some may never be found.

Governor Jerry Brown, who toured the devastation in Paradise and beyond, said “This is so devastating I don’t really have the words to describe it, it looks like a war zone.”
