The most powerful Atlantic Ocean storm in recorded history has roared into the Caribbean Islands and people there are describing it as Apocalyptic.
People trapped there in the terrifying storm have been tweeting/posting describing what they term as ‘apocalyptic’ scenes.
One on-site correspondent at the Caribbean island of Barbuda reported “It is a total devastation – Barbuda now is literally a rubble,” he said. Reporting that the island has been almost entirely wiped out by Hurricane Irma, with “90 per cent” of all buildings destroyed.
A video of a hotel in St. Martin showed it destroyed by the winds and storm surge along with boats smashed and streets flooded.
A weather correspondent in U.S. Virgin Islands said “It’s living up to the hype” and “the most sobering moment” he’s had in 15 years of chasing storms. He went on to describe how that concrete buildings were shaking and that buildings had disappeared.
A man trapped on the island of St Maarten tweeted of the “apocalyptic” scene as the winds batter buildings and forced him to take shelter in a concrete stairwell.
He wrote: “everyone now hiding in concrete stairwell of building. Noise of wind insane. Pray this will end soon!”
“May be my last tweet as power out and noise now apocalyptic. This is like a movie I never want to see. “My God this noise! It’s like standing behind a jet engine!! Constant booms & bangs. At least concrete stairwell not moving.
Again He wrote: “Still thunderous sonic boom noises outside & boiling in stairwell. Can feel scream of things being hurled against building.”
“Okay I am now pretty terrified so can every non-believer, atheist & heretic please pray for me in StMaarten as Irma is here now”.
What people describe now as apocalyptic are terrifying events experienced that are signs pointing to a time of tribulation that is coming to the earth as foretold by the Scriptural Prophecies.
A time that Jesus described in Matthew 24:21 as “… then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
And the Book of the Revelation prophecy in chapter 9 verse 6 says it is a time so frightening that “In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.”
Avoid it. Come to Jesus and be born again into His Kingdom. Then the destiny of your future is very different and secured in Jesus Christ.
