Turkey In Last Days Prophecy

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryGeneral

Turkey was a moderate pillar of stability in a tumultuous region of the world as a member of NATO – but no longer. Now at center of Last Days Prophecy, the turmoil and chaos there will continue, as Turkey becomes increasingly hardline Islamist as Iran. It will also eventually become an ally of Russia and not NATO.

Turkey was a center point of the explosion of Christianity into the world in the 1st century.

The Christian Church was born on the Day of Pentecost in Jerusalem but thrived in Turkey. The Apostle Paul was born at Tarsus in Turkey and much of his evangelistic ministry was in Turkey. The Apostle Peter wrote his Epistle to the many Churches in Turkey.map 1st century christianity

As a nation state straddling the East and the West, Turkey is bordered by eight countries; also with the Black Sea, Russia and the Caucasus to the north; Syria, Iraq, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south; the Aegean Sea and Europe to the west; and Iran with the Caspian Sea to the east. It is also due north of Jerusalem and Israel.

No other country outside of Israel is as strategically centered in Scriptural Prophecy, but now it is in the explosion of Islamic violence between the East and the West.

Now in the 21st century, Turkey is again at the center of prophetic fulfillment.

The Revelation 9 Prophecy says “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates. So the four angels … were released to kill a third of mankind.”

The Euphrates is now a river bounded by Islam. There are four Islamic countries whose land is at the River Euphrates; they are Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. The prophecy speaks of four fallen angels who had been bound or restrained from doing their evil work of violence. But when they are released, they unleash such a contagion of violence thereuphrates four countries_four angelse that it emanates out into the world from this Middle East epicenter until a third of mankind is affected and killed.

Signs of this prophecy of four evil spirits of violence released at these four Islamic countries along the Euphrates River are increasingly strong.

As well as how it has radiated out into the world to affect all of mankind; just think recently of Nice and Paris, France, or Orlando and  San Bernardino USA, and not to forget New York 9/11. The pace and severity of Islamic terrorist attacks has been staggering. This has drawn approximately 20 countries to date into participating in military action along the Euphrates River region.

Turkey is the Islamic country where the Euphrates River originates before it flows through Syria and Iraq. Just as the land of Turkey unleashes the power of the Euphrates River, from this Islamic country with the power of one of the ten largest militaries in the world and second largest in NATO after the United States, there will also flow more turmoil and chaos.

Turkey use to be considered a moderate and a pillar of stability in a tumultuous region of the world, as a member of NATO. No longer. Now it is at the center of the unveiling of the prophecy in the Last Days.

Turkey is increasingly authoritarian Islamic state and affected by Euphrates violence contagion.

Turkey in recent times has taken a hard turn toward Islamic orientation. The attempted coup by the military happened in Turkey because President Erdogan is not committed to democracy and the country is divided over Erdogan’s efforts to turn the country into a more authoritarian Islamic state.turkey coup pic

The country is also affected from the evil contagion of violence from the wars along the Euphrates River in Syria and Iraq. From the beginning, Turkey’s government has been deeply involved in the war in Syria, backing Islamist opposition to Assad.

But the violence contagion has spread across the border into Turkey, inflaming conflict between divisions within the country as with the Kurdish PKK; and now Turkey is a prime target of the Islamic jihadists with several recent terrorist bombings.

Turkey is beginning to spiral violently out of control as chaos and turmoil increases in Turkey as it has in Iraq and then Syria. The terrorist bombings there thus far and the attempted overthrow of the government will not be the end of it.

Turkey can eventually turn to Russia and Iran as allies away from the West and NATO.

With the Islamic authoritarian President’s victory over the Turkish military coup, who is also a political Islamist that has rejected modern Turkey’s measure of secularism, Turkey will travel a path turning more into an Islamic state nearer the likeness of Iran.

NATO has some difficult scenarios and decisions coming. Turkey has demonstrated it can turn on a dime. After shooting down Russia’s jet fighter and blaming Russia, now Turkey has apologized to Russia. This was because they could not bear the punitive economic Russian sanctions. Russia has the Middle East on their door step and they are committed to remaining the strong regional player there who has demonstrated they will proactively take action.

This is predicted in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy of the Last Days where Iran and Turkey are significant members of an Islamic caliphate coalition that is allied with Russia.iran guard with fists

In Ezekiel 38 it says, “Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh (Russia)… and prophesy against him…Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, and Libya are with them… Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah (Turkey) from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you.” The signs of this prophecy of a Russian led Islamic coalition are evolving before us now.

Frustrated nation states from severe Islamic violence will be caught up in Middle East Conflict.

The one thing that Islamic Arab countries can agree on is Israel as the problem, and they will eventually influence Russia to turn on Israel with a surprise military attack. This Russian-Islamic violence is defeated through the auspices of God in the war-soldiers-in-middle-eastearth as described in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy; but in Ezekiel 39 it reads as though the nation states are also affected when fire comes down on them as a result of this conflict.

The chaos and turmoil in these four Islamic countries along the Euphrates River, along with the Islamic violence that is radiating from there into the world, will become so severe that frustrated nation states from around the world gather military assets there for Middle-East world war.

Revelation 9 also describes, “So the four angels, who had been prepared…, were released… Now the number of the army… was two hundred million… a third of mankind was killed….”

Look for these potential Signs of the Last Days prophecies around Turkey:

  • Chaos and turmoil in Turkey continuing and increasing through terrorist violence and Euphrates River conflicts
  • Turkey becoming increasingly Islamic and authoritarian
  • Turkey becoming more like Iran and having a close relationship
  • Turkey increasingly allies with Russia and Iran instead of the West and NATO:

It is not a one-off when Russia brought forces into Syria by sea and air to fight and protect its interests. It is a policy commitment of hard action in the Middle East such as no other country currently has. Russia has just said it is deeply concerned about Turkey’s domestic political situation against the backdrop of the existing terrorist threats in this country and the armed conflict in the region and that it brings a heightened risk to international and regional stability. They will certainly take action with Turkey. It will be politically and economically focused so to bring them into alliance but there is even potential for hybrid asymmetric warfare they used with success in Ukraine. They have forces already on Turkey’s border now in Syria and their warships regularly surround Turkey in the Black, Aegean, and Mediterranean seas and pass through Istanbul navigating through the Turkish Straits. And to Turkey’s eastern border sits Iran also known as Persia, the staunch Russian ally who will always work and coordinate with Russia.

  • NATO and Turkey will have issues as Turkey assimilates more into its Islamic brotherhood and alliance with Russia. There are potential issues here that could be serious triggers.
  • Turkey and Israel’s current agreement will not last. As Turkey increasingly allies with Iran and Russia as part of the Islamic caliphate coalition around Israel, Turkey will align and fully embrace the view of Israel as the problem.
  • Turkey, as part of an Islamic caliphate coalition allied with Russia in the region, will ultimately participate in an attempted surprise attack invasion of Israel. Israel is the one thing that Islamic Arab countries can agree on. One could expect this attack would happen through the mountain passes of the Golan Heights which is disputed territory between Israel and Syria who is supported by Russia.

The Apostle Paul, who was born in and evangelized Turkey, said in 2 Timothy 3, “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.” And he goes on to say that “the Holy Scriptures… are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
