It seems as if it’s an effort to erase the history of the United States, as events are rapidly happening across the country with symbols of the nation’s history defaced or destroyed.
George Washington, a founding Father who was General of the Continental Army that gained America’s freedom and first president of the U.S. — in Portland, a flag was wrapped around the head of his statue and set on fire. And when the statue was pulled down, the mob cheered.
Another George Washington monument in Baltimore was defaced and vandalized in what appeared to be red paint along with graffiti written around it.
In San Francisco, another mob brought down the statue of Francis Scott Key, who wrote “The Star-Spangled Banner,” our country’s national anthem, after he saw an American flag still flying at the Battle of Fort McHenry following a victory over the British in the War of 1812.
Thomas Jefferson, another founding Father as author of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and an early U.S. president, again in Portland, his statue outside a high school named for him was toppled by a group of protesters.
And there was even an attempt to tarnish the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., with the Lincoln Memorial steps vandalized during recent demonstrations. Lincoln was the U.S. president who ended slavery.
It seems that when these statues and others were vandalized across the country, with some of the events having significant crowds and taking time, there were no police that arrived to prevent it, or they stayed on the sidelines.
The Biblical prophecies of Jesus (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that the Last Days will be a time of lawlessness and violence, as as it was in the Days of Noah, indicating the nearing end of this age of grace.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
