Several reports say U.S. officials are confident that Iran shot down a Ukrainian passenger jetliner that had taken off from Tehran’s airport in the hours after the Iranian missile attack on U.S. targets earlier this week.
All 176 people aboard were killed in the resulting crash, including 82 Iranians and 63 Canadians.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also said he had received intelligence from multiple sources indicating that the plane was shot down by an Iranian surface-to air missile, adding that it was possible that this was unintentional.
US and Iraqi officials have been quoted as saying they believed the aircraft was hit by a Russia-built Tor M-1 surface-to-air missile system that was sold to Iran by Russia.
Which Iran’s anti-aircraft systems were probably active following its attacks on the US airbases in Iraq. So the plane may have been mistaken for a US warplane as Iran prepared for possible US retaliation for their strikes.
US intelligence detected Iranian anti-aircraft radars turning on before the crash and that satellites detected two infrared blips, thought to be missiles, that were quickly followed by another blip, the suspected aircraft explosion.
Reports say that US intelligence was confident that Iran painted the Ukrainian airliner with radar and fired two surface-to-air missiles that brought down the aircraft.
Iran has denied any responsibility, with Iranian media, citing state officials, arguing that the missile theory is “illogical.” Where Iran does not want to accept that they shot down a passenger airliner taking off from their own airport.
The Biblical Prophecies (Matthew 24) foretell that in the Last Days nation will rise against nation and there will be wars and rumors of wars.
These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
