After the TV networks reported Biden as the winner of the US presidential election, President Trump refused to concede the election issuing a defiant statement insisting the race was not over.
“We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed,” Trump said in a statement after Biden was declared winner. “The simple fact is this election is far from over.”
Trump’s challenge to the reported election results marks one of the only times in American history a candidate has so forcefully rejected the results of a presidential election.
The President has also mobilized his campaign team and lawyers, requesting recounts and filing lawsuits in critical states where the vote was close.
He said, “Beginning Monday, our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated.”
And he has previously said, “The only way they can take this election away from us is if this is a rigged election.”
Trump’s refusal to concede drew criticism from Democrats and some Republicans, who cited it as an effort to undermine a fundamental tenet of American democracy.
It’s unclear how long Trump will continue to refuse the reported election results – there will be recounts in a handful of states that could take weeks to certify, and the president is likely to continue his pursuit of reelection in the courts.
And Trump has said, “I think this will end up in the Supreme Court.”
The Biblical Prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell that in the Last Days there will be an environment of division with offenses and even hatred, which will be signs indicating the nearing end of this age of grace.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
