A flooding rain deluge hit the Washington D.C. area resulting in an extreme flooding event where the National Weather Service declared its first-ever Flash Flood Emergency for the U.S. Capitol District.
The record-setting cloudburst unleashed four inches of water in a single hour, overwhelming the paved-over and heavily populated area turning roads into rivers while streams and creeks shot up 10 feet in less than an hour.
The deluge of flooding rain sent rushing water stranding scores of people in their vehicles, poured into businesses and the Metro system, submerged cars in parking lots, swamped basements and caused some roads to cave in, forming massive sinkholes.
The supercharged storm complex would also emit more than 4,000 lightning flashes on its southeastward trek through the Beltway and Southern Maryland.
The flooding rain invaded buildings in the U.S. Capitol closing D.C.’s National Archives, as the flood hit the main power vault closing the building.
The National Archives is home to the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights; all those documents are safe, the National Archives and Records Administration said. The flood also made its way into the White House in the basement.
The excessive rain quickly overwhelmed creeks and streams with water levels quickly rising 10 feet and more, as fire departments were forced to respond to dozens of calls for dramatic swift water rescues as people stood on top of their vehicles to escape the water.
During this time the National Weather Service declared its first-ever Flash Flood Emergency for the Capitol District reserved for the most serious events which are “life-threatening” and “particularly dangerous” situations.
They report the maximum observed rainfall rates associated with the storms were incredible. It was also reported that the odds of rain this intense in any given year are less than 1 percent.
And such storm environments with these exceptionally high amounts of atmospheric water content are expected to increase from the rising temperatures of earth.
The Biblical prophecies (Luke 21, Revelation 16) foretell how that the weather cycles of earth will intensify as the world is affected with greater heat as a sign of the Last Days prophecies indicating the coming end of the age.
These are signs of the Last Days revealing its time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles (Matthew 16:19) who were authorized described how (Acts 2). Which brings peace and joy in the Holy Spirit in this life and eternal life in the world to come.
