US Troops Killed In Iraq Rocket Attack By Iran Militia, President Authorizes Response

Signs of the Last Days® MinistryNews

Two American soldiers and one British soldier were killed as approximately 18 Katyusha rockets hit an Iraqi base housing U.S. troops the U.S. military reported.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley told reporters that about 30 Katyusha rockets were fired with about 12-18 rockets impacting at Camp Taji.

He also characterized five of the 14 wounded as “urgent,” and said all of them were a mix of Americans, Brits and Poles,  as well as contractors.

Following the attack, U.S. troops and Iraqi security forces found a rocket-rigged truck a few miles from Camp Taji.

The commander of U.S. troops in the Middle East, Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, said that “the Iranian proxy group Kata’ib Hezbollah (KH) is the only group known to have previously conducted an indirect fire attack of this scale against U.S. and Coalition forces in Iraq.”

The US defense secretary said President Trump was presented with options that the U.S. military could take in response to the attack, adding that the president gave him the authority he needed to take action.

And the US military has just carried out airstrikes today against multiple Iranian-backed militia sites in Iraq, according to the US Defense Department.

The Defense Department said the strike was aimed at harming the ability of Kata’ib Hezbollah, the Iranian-sponsored Shia militia group in Iraq, to conduct future strikes against American troops.

These new attacks and counter-attacks in Iraq between the US military and Iranian-backed militia, comes a very few months after the US and Iran were brought to the brink of war in January.

When a similar situation escalated resulting in the US drone killing of the Iranian General Qasem Soleimani in Iraq and then a counter-strike by Iran firing ballistic missiles out of Iran into US bases in Iraq, where miraculously no US troops were killed.

This new incident shows Iran is continuing its aggression in the region as it continues to show their intentions of wanting to get the US out of Iraq.

Iran has long desired to have a connected land bridge for their military from Iran through Iraq and Syria to the borders of Israel. The United States military is in their way and Iran wants the US out of Iraq and Syria.

Biblical Prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21) foretell nation rising against nation and wars and rumors of wars in the Last Days near the end of this age of grace.

These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).

Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
