When society’s new mantra is “Run, Hide, Fight”, its just not safe anymore. This is the mantra of a training video for use in schools, workplaces, and churches teaching people what to do if there is an active shooter or terrorist so they can have a chance of surviving.
When a lone wolf Islamist terrorist this week at Ohio State University plowed his car into a group of pedestrians on campus and then got out and began stabbing people with a butcher knife, school officials broadcast to students the instructions: “Run Hide Fight.”
It’s a mantra from a training video for students that has become standard at colleges in the event of a campus shooting. Students near the assailant are urged to run somewhere safe, to hide from the shooter and, as a last resort, to fight back.
The City of Houston created the video with a $200,000 federal grant and help from the Department of Homeland Security in response to the theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado.
An officer in the video says, “It’s scary to think about, but an active shooter is something that we all need to be prepared for” – Why?
Because our citizens, youth, and children are now being wounded and killed at elementary school, high school, college, malls, theaters, churches, ….
This is now our society.
We have become as it was in the Days of Noah when the earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
Surely, the Lord Jesus comes soon.
