The Kremlin continues to get a significant return on its efforts from meddling with the last presidential election with the on-going chaos in Washington. The successful clandestine cyber-effort by the Russians continues to sow chaotic discord that has basically taken over Washington and the Presidency.
A previous report from the CIA, FBI and Office of the Director of National Intelligence concluded with “high confidence” that Russian intelligence services penetrated numerous computer systems tied to U.S. political parties and then “relayed” the email troves to WikiLeaks which leaked these out.
The on-going investigation of Russian influence since has resulted in the U.S. national security adviser Michael Flynn resigning after it was found that he had communicated with the Russians and then lied about it.
Then the U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions appointed by Trump, who during his confirmation hearing testified under oath he did not have communications with Russians, for some reason disqualified himself from the Justice Department’s Russian investigation.
The investigation was being led by the head of the FBI, Director Comey. There was then the bombshell announcement that Trump had told Comey “Your Fired.” Afterwards, in an interview with NBC news Trump described why he fired Director Comey and some of his statements referred to the Russian investigation.
In subsequent testimony before Congress, Comey said Trump’s reasons for firing him were lies and that Trump had tried to influence how he handled the investigations.
All of this has resulted in Robert Mueller, who previously led the FBI under Republican and Democratic Presidents, being appointed special counsel to head up the Russian investigations.
Now the investigations have penetrated into the White House.
Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of Trump and a Presidential adviser, is having his business dealings, which includes Russian contacts, investigated by the special counsel. Its also been reported that Mr Kushner was already a “person of interest” for FBI investigators over his meeting with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergei Kislyak prior to Mr Trump taking office. In that meeting Mr Kushner was said to have suggested setting up a back-channel of communication with Moscow at a Russian diplomatic facility in the U.S.
But now President Trump is also under investigation by the special counsel and the U.S. Justice Department investigating whether Trump attempted to obstruct justice through his interactions and firing of Comey.
The Russians are without doubt very pleased with their results in the chaos of Washington. They call it reflexive control in their advanced form of hybrid warfare that utilizes a combination of propaganda and deception with intent to destabilize their adversary society through multiple communication channels as cyber, media, and real-time human interaction.
A U.S. military analyst described what’s happening. It’s Russian 21st century hybrid information warfare, used in Ukraine and now on the West to destabilize U.S. society. Timothy Thomas, a senior analyst at the U.S. Army’s Foreign Military Studies Office at Fort Leavenworth, in a report named RUSSIA’S 21ST CENTURY INFORMATION WAR: WORKING TO UNDERMINE AND DESTABILIZE POPULATIONS, describes what is happening.
Russia uses the techniques to alter the landscape of objectivity and transform it into a new reality of its own making. In this manner Russia has successfully infiltrated American government causing its society turmoil.
The resulting turmoil in America plays into the narrative of Russian leaders as Putin for them to use in undermining Western Democracies and their efforts in the world.
These are signs of the Ezekiel prophecy that the evil deceiving and intimidating influence of aggressive Magog Russia will rise in the Last Days. It’s another prophetic Sign of the Last Days showing the world is moving deeper into the end of the age nearing Great Tribulation.
