Attacks of wild animals on people are increasingly being reported like what just happened in Chicago where two people, a 5-year-old boy and a grown man, were attacked by coyotes.
One incident happened in the afternoon Wednesday when a coyote ambushed a boy near the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in the city’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.
And his caretaker had to fight the animal who was also joined by two good Samaritans in the fight to make it flee.
The 6-year-old boy was taken to the hospital where police say his condition stabilized after the coyote bit him several times in the head outside the nature museum in Lincoln Park.
After the attack the coyote took off running and was reported still on the loose with police squad cars searching for it.
In recent days, coyotes have been spotted walking the streets of the North Side, where they have been attacking dogs until now. But they had been reported to have also chased people and their pets before these attacks on humans.
In another incident later the same day, a coyote ambushed a man from behind who was treated at the hospital for bites but it was unclear if it was the same wild animal that attacked the boy.
And a reported sighting of one of the animals in Oz Park prompted a lock-down of two nearby schools by officials where students were kept from going outside.
Chicago Animal Care and Control officials said there had not been a coyote attack in Chicago in decades and that the animals were not acting normal since they typically flee from humans.
But in recent times there have been reports of bizarre behavior in wild animals with them attacking humans. Recently it was also reported how that wild hogs attacked and killed a woman in Houston.
In the strange case that puzzled investigators, the Sheriff said the woman had gotten out of her car and was walking to the front door of the house when the animals attacked.
She was found dead in the yard between her car and the front door with a severe head injury and several other injuries on her body consistent with animal bites. The Coroner said that in 35 years it was one of the worst things they had seen.
Animal attacks on humans are increasing with scientists reporting the rate of all animal attack injuries have increased over the past 10 years.
As animal-related injuries have led to health care costs of more than $1 billion a year in the United States according to the study.
The prophecy (Leviticus 26) concerning the blessings of obedience or judgments of disobedience says “if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me … I will also send wild beasts among you …”
And the Biblical Prophecies (Revelation 6) foretell that in the Last Days people will increasingly be killed by “the beasts” or wild animals of the earth.
These events and conditions happening now are signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
Preparing those Biblically born again into the Kingdom of God to be ready to escape all the things that will come to pass, in the wrath of the tribulation of Revelation prophecy, that comes upon the world of disobedience. As the born again Church is not appointed unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10) but instead to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
