The Sun over the Temple Mount in Israel was dimmed Sunday when a rare “ring of fire” solar eclipse swept across the country.

About 1/3 of the Sun was blocked in Israel from the eclipse with the Moon partially covering the Sun in the Jewish state’s skies at its peak just before 8:30 am.

With this connecting to the coming tribulation of Israel and the world in the future of the Book of Revelation. Where in the prophecy (Revelation 8) a third of the Sun will be blocked, also a third of the Moon will become dark, and even a third of the stars will go dark.

Annular eclipses, as what just happened in Israel, occur when the Moon — passing between Earth and the Sun — is not close enough to our planet to completely obscure the Sun leaving part of the solar disc visible.

The partial eclipse reached Israel at 7:23 a.m. and left eastward at 9:31. It reached its peak at 8:20 in Eilat with 40.5% of the Sun covered by the Moon, but at 8:24 in Jerusalem there was 35.6% covered, and at 8:26 in the northern town of Metula only 34.5% covered.

Interestingly, the eclipse on Sunday arrived on the northern hemisphere’s longest day of the year — the summer solstice — when Earth’s north pole is tilted most directly towards the Sun.

According to astronomers the dimming of light from the eclipse was like switching from a 500-watt to a 30-watt light bulb, and where it’s a cold light and you don’t see as well.

Also, they say it can result in strange animal behavior, where animals can get spooked or birds sometimes go back to sleep, and cows will return to the barn.

Additionally, there has been a relationship between eclipses and humanity. There have been rulers in history who feared eclipses believing they were an omen of chaos and death.

Who would take strange actions like temporarily abdicating the throne in an effort to protect their life during an eclipse. And a number of popes, monarchs, and leaders have had major events happen at the occurrence of eclipses.

And in the future of Revelation Prophecy (Revelation 8), it describes how a third of all our solar system we can see from our planet will go dark to the earth in a time when a new world leader, the anti-christ, is taking power.

As an inordinate number of consecutive catastrophic astronomical events happen to the earth in a prophetic cataclysm in our solar system.

Jesus said in His Biblical prophecies (Luke 21) there would be signs in the heavens, in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars, happening at the time when nations on earth would experience distress with perplexity.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
