Reports from around the world continue to emerge of booming sounds of mysterious origin echoing from the sky and experts are baffled as to what causes them.
The loud blasts in the sky are understandably startling for those who hear them and thus far any source has defied scientific explanation. And its happening around the world from Colorado and Alabama to the Middle East, United Kingdom and Australia.
Just a week ago residents in Alabama heard a strange ‘boom’ from the sky which was heard across more than 10 counties and shook houses. Police were notified but they still have no clue as to the origin.
Other blasts from the sky around the world, like the one in Alabama, remain unexplained. Locals in Cairns, Australia, were shaken by a loud rumble. Then soon after another boom was heard over the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. Other mysterious sounds from the sky have been heard in as far reaching places as Colorado, Michigan and Yorkshire, U.K.
Experts have suggested a wide range of explanations, such as a sonic boom caused by aircraft breaking the sound barrier. But local military bases have been unable to corroborate any flight activity at the time of the incidents, and experts did not consider it a viable theme across all of the global events.
Another idea was that the booms were caused by meteors exploding in the sky like from the Leonid meteor shower which may explain why the phenomenon is global.
But Bill Cooke, head of NASA’s Meteroid Environment Office at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, said he was skeptical it could be meteors because there were no reports of a fireball or reports of vapor trails, adding that no one can figure out the cause.
Then some people have described the phenomenon as eerie trumpet-like blasts from the sky and have wondered if it is a sign of the last days at the end of the age.
There are examples in Scripture of spiritual activities by God and His angels that to bystanders were described then to be similar to the current phenomenon.
In Exodus 19 when the Spirit of God came down from Heaven upon top of Mount Sinai, the Scripture says there was thunder and the sound of the trumpet was very loud.
Then when Jesus in John 12:27-30 prayed to the Father, a voice spoke from heaven and the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Then Jesus explained it was the voice from His Father, signifying judgment of the world with the ruler of this world cast down through the death of Jesus.
And the prophecies foretell that in the Last Days at the end of this age there will be booming sounds from heaven such as noises (Rev. 8, 11), voices (Rev. 4, 10) , thunderings (Rev. 8, 11) , and trumpets sounded by Angels (Rev. 4, 8, 9).
In prophecy these sounds from heaven as trumpet blasts are used to announce, warn, and herald significant periods and events.
These current booming sounds of mysterious origin echoing from the sky around the world could be yet another sign pointing toward the prophecy fulfillment of the end of the age nearing the coming of Jesus Christ the Lord.
