This video shows how Hawaii was hit by the largest earthquake in more than 40 years, a magnitude-6.9; which added to the chaos of Kilauea volcano’s newest lava flows which are now traveling down streets and eating up houses.
The volcano continues to spew lava flows into residential areas, forcing thousands to evacuate, and series of earthquakes continue, including this most powerful one, which shook the island.
Scientists and officials warned residents that seismic and volcanic activity will continue after the 6.9 tremor shook buildings on the island and more lava fissures were reported in residential subdivisions.
