In a dramatic shake-up, content publishers on Facebook, such as Signs of the Last Days, will no longer have their postings provided into your Feed.
Business Insider reported that publishers got a rude awakening after Facebook announced sweeping changes to its News Feed.
In a dramatic shake-up Facebook said it would start playing up status updates from friends and family in the News Feed, effectively deprioritizing content from content publishers as us.
This means content publishers on Facebook, such as Signs of the Last Days, who shares news events connected to Scriptural Prophecies, would no longer be seen in Facebook users feeds.
Many have already been seeing a drop in Facebook-referred readership in recent months as the company made the changes designed to amplify only users’ content.
Business Insider shared commentary saying “I cannot overstate how much Facebook is just screwing our news operations and our democracy over and over and over,” said Audrey Cooper, San Francisco Chronicle’s editor-in-chief, slamming Facebook’s move to solve its fake news problem by getting rid of news altogether.
Facebook told some publishers that content from reputable publishers would surface on the News Feed based on the new algorithm, Digiday reported.
But it didn’t define such a publisher or say how others may expect their traffic to change.
