A bright meteor swept across the sky over parts of the U.S. Midwest and Canada before causing a powerful explosion and earthquake.
The meteor was seen across the region in places such as Ohio, Michigan and Ontario and registered a 2.0 magnitude tremor about 4 miles east of Saint Clair Shores in Michigan.
The U.S. Geological Survey also confirmed that a meteor exploded about five miles southwest of New Haven, Michigan, lighting up the skies and causing the 2.0 magnitude earthquake that rattled homes and onlookers.
The American Meteor Society received over 355 reports of the fireball in the sky primarily seen in Michigan, but they also received reports from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, and Ontario.
The Last Days prophecies foretell of great meteors and asteroids of fire that will rain down upon the earth.
In the Revelation 8 chapter it speaks of “… something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea” which brought destruction to a third of the sea. Also, how that “… a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky” which poisoned a third of the waters.
