It’s reported on social media that a meteor has hit Venezuela, and this happens after another meteor was confirmed to have hit Cuba just a week ago.

Several videos have emerged with footage of the night sky over Venezuela on several social media accounts saying a meteorite crossed the center of the country, falling in the “locality of the Yellow Flower, Valencia, Venezuela State Carabobo.”

The various footage of videos shows eyewitnesses seeing a very bright object as the fireball is captured while out filming at random.

But all the recordings had things in common showing that the object crossed the sky at an extremely high speed and had a fire-tail, like meteors usually have when they cut Earth’s atmosphere.

Also, the fireball was so bright that it captures the attention, and concern for some of the people, in the footage. Some onlookers can be heard gasping in surprise, while another says, “Wow”. Then another one said, “It looks like a meteorite!” And also one speculated, “Looks like a missile that fizzled out.”

Some of the videos were shared on Twitter, then also on YouTube, with one user posting in Spanish: “Another video recorded in Valencia, falling meteorite that furrows sky of the centre of the country, falls in the locality of the Yellow Flower, Valencia, Venezuela State Carabobo.”

However, it’s still not clear whether it was confirmed as a meteor or not, since officials have not commented yet on the sightings, reports and videos.

Witnesses reported hearing two loud blasts as it blew up and disintegrated. The space rock left a huge trail of smoke in the sky and showered the ground with small rocks.

The Cuban meteor explosion shook buildings and rattled windows causing a great deal of confusion, with some first mistakenly saying there was a crash of a large plane.

And now it seems that Venezuela has been hit with a meteor as well, just one week after Cuba, with both countries struck from the heavens within a week.

Cuba is a long-time ally of Venezuela supporting the dictator there, who is also an ally of Russia, as they have been supporting Venezuela and its dictator against the United States.
